We Started Because Numbers Shouldn't Feel Like a Mystery

Back in early 2019, our founder Helena was sitting with a close friend who'd just received her third overdraft notice. She had a good job, steady income—but somehow money kept disappearing. That conversation sparked something. Why does financial planning feel so complicated when it's really just about understanding where your money goes?

Built From Real Frustration

We didn't set out to build a financial education company. Helena spent years working in corporate finance, watching people earn decent salaries but struggle with basic budgeting. The tools existed—spreadsheets, apps, advisors. But something wasn't clicking.

After that conversation with her friend, Helena started hosting informal budget workshops at a local coffee shop. Five people showed up the first time. They shared stories that sounded eerily similar: unexpected expenses, confusion about credit cards, anxiety about retirement that felt too far away to matter.

By mid-2020, those coffee shop sessions had grown into structured workshops. People weren't just learning—they were actually making changes. That's when we knew there was something here worth building properly.

What We Actually Believe

These aren't corporate values pulled from a template. They're the principles that guide how we build our programs and work with people every day.

Honesty Over Hype

We won't promise you'll be debt-free in 30 days or double your savings overnight. Financial progress takes time, and we're upfront about that. Our job is to help you make consistent, realistic improvements.

Practical Before Perfect

You don't need a flawless budget system. You need something you'll actually use. We focus on approaches that fit into real life—even when life gets messy, which it always does.

Teaching, Not Telling

We're not here to manage your money for you. Our goal is to help you understand the concepts well enough to make your own decisions. Because once you get it, you've got it for life.

How We Actually Teach This Stuff

Financial education can be boring. We've sat through enough dry seminars to know. So we do things differently. Our programs are built around real scenarios—the kind you actually face when deciding whether to lease or buy a car, or figuring out if that promotion is worth the tax jump.

We don't lecture. We work through problems together. And we're not afraid to admit when something depends on your specific situation. Because it usually does.

1

Start Where You Are

No judgment about past financial decisions. We begin with your current situation and build from there, focusing on what you can control moving forward.

2

Real Numbers, Real Scenarios

We use actual examples from Thailand's cost of living, local banking systems, and realistic salary ranges. Theory matters, but application matters more.

3

Support That Continues

Questions don't stop when the workshop ends. We maintain open communication channels because sometimes things only click after you've tried applying them yourself.

Who's Behind This

We're a small team, and we like it that way. Everyone here has worked directly with participants, answered budget questions at odd hours, and revised materials based on real feedback.

Helena Winters, Founder and Lead Educator at hypernetflux

Helena Winters

Founder & Lead Educator

Helena spent 12 years in corporate finance before starting hypernetflux. She's worked with everyone from fresh graduates to pre-retirees, and she's convinced that most financial problems aren't actually about money—they're about clarity.

She lives in Nonthaburi with two cats who are terrible with budgets. When she's not teaching, you'll find her testing new ways to explain compound interest or arguing that financial planning doesn't have to be stressful.
